How to use Photo Mode in Assassin's Creed Shadows
How to use photo mode to snap epic shots of Naoe and Yasuke in AC Shadows
Want to use photo mode in Assassin's Creed Shadows? The breadth of beautiful vistas, busy cities, and moments of brutal bloodshed are aplenty in Assassin's Creed Shadows, and you're probably going to want to delve into photo mode to take photos that have the perfect depth of field and filters. Assassin's Creed Shadows can also be a particularly dark game, with night shadows obscuring scenery and heavy rain casting a gloom over Japan, so photo mode can serve as a handy way of illuminating your surroundings, albeit temporarily.
Assassin's Creed Shadows also saves your photos on the world map for other players to view, but the game doesn't fully explain how it does this. In this guide, we'll explain what you need to do to enter photo mode in Assassin's Creed Shadows and find all the settings you need.
How to open photo mode in Assassin's Creed Shadows
When you're playing Assassin's Creed Shadows, you can enter photo mode by pressing on the L and R sticks if you're playing with a controller, or by hitting F3 if you're playing with mouse and keyboard.

The photo mode interface will pop up, letting you adjust everything from the camera angle and contrast to stickers that you can place on your images. When your photo is ready, hit Y or F to preview your photo. Hit A or the Space Bar to take the photo.
How to view photos in Assassin's Creed Shadows
Any photo you take in Assassin's Creed Shadows is saved to the game's world map. When viewing the map, look for a little snapshot icon that looks like a photo frame with a head in it. These icons represent the photos you've taken, as well as the photos that other players have taken, creating a map of snapshots all across Japan.
If you want to view a photo or perhaps delete one that you've snapped by accident, simply find an icon associated with you to view or delete the image.

Keep in mind that photos will only save and appear on the map if you're connected to the internet. If you're playing Assassin's Creed offline, photo mode won't be able to save your images at all to Ubisoft's servers, and will display an error message after you take them.
With that, you should be more than ready to explore the countryside around Osaka or take down rival shinobi, snapping photos all the while.
