Vlambeer's Luftrausers Locks On To PC

Uh-huh. Yep. Right, yeah. That. OK, OK, I'll get to it in a second. Five more minutes, alright? Oh, sorry! I'm just practicing ignoring friends and loved ones, you see, because Vlambeer - they of everything from masterfully addictive Super Crate Box to spookily minimalist Yeti Hunter - have announced that they're dusting off flash project Luftrauser for a full, completely pluralized release in the form of Luftrausers. Go ahead, try the browser-based bite of dogfighting bliss. I'll wait. OK, now imagine that with full plane customization including "futuristic lasers" and... yep, you're already ignoring me. Seems about right.

"It's definitely hitting PC - whether its through browsers or not we're not quite sure of just yet, but PC for sure," Vlambeer's Rami Ismail told RPS.

So that's positively wonderful, but what manner of physically impossible WWII plane boat-dolphin shenanigans will we be up to this time?

"Luftrausers is basically Luftrauser redone from scratch, with everything ten times as spectacular," Ismail told Joystiq. "The biggest difference is that you'll be able to build your own Rauser."

A pitch document given to the site went on to boast "over 255 deadly combinations," which - presumably - come in addition to other, largely harmless combinations.

For now, other details are TBD, but more info could be headed our way as early as next week. So that's... well, this is strange. Even I'm ignoring me now. Oh well, best not to question it. More Luftrauser!
