Amazon Are Making Their First PC Game

Ooh mysterious!

In their ongoing push to take over as the world's Number One Supplier Of Everything, Amazon are currently looking for interested game developers to help create their first ever PC game, Gamasutra report.

The omnipresent Old Gods of Internet retail are apparently building "an ambitious new PC game project" using what they are describing obliquely as "the latest technology." So far what this actually entails is still under wraps, although it sounds as if Amazon Game Studios are looking to incorporate streaming platforms in some way. Which isn't surprising considering they're the current owners of Twitch.

"Amazon is committed to gamers, and building great teams who are excited to use Twitch, the AWS cloud, and technical innovation to radically evolve gameplay," reads a statement from the company, eyes glowing as they assume their ultimate form. "We believe that games have just scratched the surface in their power to unite players and will produce some of the future’s most influential voices in media and art."

The Seattle-based studio have been around for just over a year now, working mostly on publishing mobile games and stuff for Amazon's Fire TV. But they aren't strangers to PC development either. Current devs under Amazon's wing include Far Cry 2 designer Clint Hocking and Portal's Kim Swift, as well as former developers on Half-Life 2, The Last of Us and Shadows of Mordor.

So email your resumes and Deviant Art portfolios full of Master Chief porn to this guy.
