The more you outfit your Hideout, the more you can make your life easier in feudal Japan. This guide will go over all of the Hideout buildings and themed rooms in Assassin's Creed Shadows, the requirements for building them, the benefits they offer, and what perks you get for upgrading them.
Assassin's Creed Shadows: All Hideout Buildings
The following are all of the Hideout buildings you can build, as well as the important gameplay features they provide. Given they cost vital resources to construct, it's best to prioritise certain structures over others.
Hiroma

The Hiroma is a starting building in your Hideout. Aside from serving as a place for holding important meetings, this room allows you to improve the Hideout by building more rooms. You can also access your mission objectives by interacting with the diorama in the left corner of the Hiroma and the painting depicting the Onryo respectively.
Stables
The Stable, another of your starting Hideout buildings, allows you to tag stockpiles for scouts to smuggle. It's an important building that becomes especially vital as you acquire more and more resources. Upgrading it to rank 2 will allow stockpiles to only require one scout to smuggle, provided at the end of a season, and costs 70 crops, 50 wood, and 20 minerals. At rank 3, scouts smuggle 20% more resources from stockpiles, which costs 350 crops, 260 wood, and 90 minerals.
Kakurega

The Kakurega is an incredible pivotal safehouse management master building. Constructing it allows you to unlock additional safehouses on the map that you can use for fast-travel as well as for picking up contracts, refilling supplies, or refilling scouts with money. You'll also unlock an additional scout on top of the initial two you have when you first access the Hideout. It costs 60 crops, 30 wood, and 5 minerals to build.
If you upgrade the Kakurega to Rank 2, safehouses will provide seasonal rumours that reveal locations of collectibles, unique treasures, and more. You will also be able to use scouts to clear that region of alerts. This upgrade costs 580 crops, 440 wood, and 150 minerals.
For the Rank 3 upgrade, additional safehouse locations become available while the cost of unlocking them is reduce by 30%. This upgrade cost 930 crops, 700 wood, and 230 minerals.
Study
This is the building you need if you want to continue adding more scouts to expand your network. It also reduces the search zone for quests by 25%. It costs 60 crops, 40 wood, and 10 minerals to build. Each time you unlock and upgrade the Study, you acquire an additional scout, and at the maximum rank it reduces the search zone for quests by 60%.
The Study costs 350 crops, 260 wood, and 90 minerals to upgrade to Rank 2, then a further 810 crops, 610 wood, and 200 minerals to upgrade to Rank 3.
The Forge

Here, you can upgrade and dismantle your gear as well as transmorg it so that you can visually customize your loadout. It costs 40 crops, 30 wood, and 10 minerals to build. You also need a blacksmith to run the forge, so it's actually also part of the questline, "Way of the Blacksmith".
The Forge can upgrade weapons and armor up to level 20. If you upgrade it to Rank 2, you can then upgrade weapons and armor up to level 40 as well as apply non-Legendary engravings to enhance their stats. This upgrade costs 350 crops, 260 wood, and 90 minerals.
Upgrading the Forge to Rank 3 will allow you to upgrade weapons and armor up to level 60, as well as allow you to apply Legendary engravings to them. This upgrade costs 700 crops, 520 wood, and 170 minerals.
Dojo
You need to have recruited an ally before you can unlock the Dojo, but this room will allow your allies to train and therefore reach a higher rank, becoming even more effective in combat. This requires 350 crops, 260 wood, and 90 minerals to build.
If you upgrade the Dojo to Rank 2 with 470 crops, 350 wood, and 120 minerals, you will be able to call in two allies for support during combat. For a further 700 crops, 520 wood, and 170 minerals, you will upgrade it to Rank 3, allowing allies to be trained up to Veteran rank.
