We escaped floppy disks. We escaped soundcards. Hell, looks like we even escaped CD / DVD drives. The PC has come so far, and yet we are still haunted by some ancient technologies, kept in the dark ages by equipment that fundamentally does not want to work and incites nothing but misery every time it is used.
