A tale of two conferences: part one, E3 2017

I was at E3 this year and had what I'd charitably describe as a difficult time. I've held off writing about it because it's all a little Inside Baseball. A journalist complaining about things that probably only matter to other journalists who might plan to visit E3 for work. The truth is though, I think E3's current problems run deep and affect not just the experience of working at the event, which is increasingly difficult, but also the way publishers and developers attempt to interact with their audiences through the event.
