I don't believe there was ever a Civilization VI

There's nothing much wrong with Civilization VI. I don't object to its existence. It's just that, every few months I hear it mentioned and have to stop myself from correcting whoever it was with a "you mean Civ V."
They don't. Civ VI is really real. So why is that my brain refuses to permanently acknowledge its existence?
