Is that not one of the best sentences you've ever read? Even robbed of context. Especially robbed of context, although be warned I'm about to talk about that at length. That's because the context is Blindsight, Peter Watt's sci-fi novel about consciousness, transhumanism, and deeply alien aliens. It is so much my jam that at this point I've basically morphed into posthuman apricot confit.
