John Wick Wicky Wah gets VR FPS, new Payday 2 DLC

Pew pew!

I was pleasantly surprised by John Wick, an action film bouncing confidently along with cool murderers doing cool murders. Good stuff. It's a shame Wicky Wick's video game appearances are mostly just okay. Ol' Johnny Boy first popped up in Payday 2 [official site] in 2014, and with a cinematic sequel looming who's nipped back in for a DLC pack adding new Wick-Wicky-wah-wah heists and weapons.

More than that, he now has a game of his own. Yesterday also brought the launch of John Wick Chronicles [official site], a first-person shooter for Vive virtual reality goggs.

So, Payday 2! Out now for £4.99/6,99€/$6.99 is the John Wick Heists pack. It adds two new heists, one loud bang-bang one to rescue the concierge of the Continental hotel and a stealth-only mission to rob a yacht during a fundraiser. Also thrown in are new masks, a new ice hook melee weapon, and a new semi-automatic sniper rifle.

As ever with Payday 2 DLC, only one party member need own to DLC for everyone to play through the heists.

Payday 2 has crossed over with Point Break and Scarface too.

Onto John Wick Chronicles! It's a wave-based shooter where players strap on their goggs to step into the eyes and hands of John Wicky-Wah. It's on Steam for £14.99/19,99€/$19.99, made by Starbreeze with Grab Games, GamecoStudios, and Big Red Button. Player reviews seem broadly enthused, with many saying it's fine but short.

John Wick: Chapter 2 is out today in the US. Looks like it's Monday for us (or Tuesday, in some cinemas?).
