Most two player board games suck

This one's sound though

Games are more than this, but for me their appeal often lies in pitting myself against other people. It's unavoidably an ego thing, in part. The thrill of coming out on top, the knowledge that in this specific context, against these specific people at this specific task on this specific occasion, I unambiguously did better. Most people enjoy doing what they're good at, and multiplayer games let you directly measure your goodness in kill counts.

Or victory points, if you're playing one of the many board games that revolve around them. Two player board games, though? They're usually dull, because whoever's played more will nearly always win. The Fox In The Forest is an exception, and that's why it might be my favourite.
