Want to obtain Daedric Armor in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered? If you want a top-tier fit for your Oblivion character, you can't go wrong with a shiny set of Daedric Armor. This striking armor is made from the rarest materials, making it stronger than Ebony, Glass, Elven, and every other type of gear. As you would expect, this also means Daedric Armor is particularly rare.

You can find this armor by defeating lots and lots of tough enemies, which might take some time. Alternately, you can nab a complete set if you tackle some tough NPCs and steal their gear. In this guide, we'll break down all the ways to get the Daedric Armor in Oblivion Remastered, so you can start looking your best as soon as possible.

How to get Daedric Armor in Oblivion

In Oblivion, Daedric Armor becomes available at level 20 unless you use console commands, which we'll outline further below. Daedric Armor is dropped by high-level Marauders, Vampires, and Dremora enemies who usually reside in Fortresses and Caves. That said, you're unlikely to collect a full set of Daedric Armor as early as level 20 since you'd have to be rather lucky to encounter an enemy wearing it - let alone walk away victorious.

Luckily, there's a guaranteed Daedric Armor spawn location you can use: the Roxey Inn just northeast of the Imperial City. Inside this inn, you will see a bunch of NPCs wearing Glass Armor sets as well as an NPC named Rigmor wearing a full Daedric Armor set. Remember: you must be level 20 or higher, or they'll be wearing lower-level armor instead. Furthermore, Rigmor may not be wearing a Daedric Helmet yet - if that's the case, you can either settle for the full set minus the helmet or level up and come back later (level 25+ seems to guarantee the presence of a Daedric Helmet).

To obtain the Daedric Armor, simply kill Rigmor and her companions. Beware that it may be a tough fight (they are wearing rather good gear after all) and it may prevent the completion of a small side quest ironically called 'Nothing You Can Possess' if you haven't done it yet.

After defeating Rigmor and looting the Daedric Armor, you'll be a wanted criminal, so you may have to clear your bounty at the Thieves Guild or escape jail. There's only one way to prevent this, and that is to provoke Rigmor into attacking you by purposely lowering her disposition. If you improve the innkeeper's and other guests' dispositions first, they may aid you in battle when Rigmor attacks.

Since Rigmor will (ideally) be wearing a Daedric Helmet, you can't test her facial reactions. To lower her disposition, favour 'joke' and 'admire' over 'boast' and 'coerce'. You can also wait for the timer to run out.

Good places to look for additional Daedric Armor pieces are Fort Alessia and Fort Homestead just south of the Imperial City. There's always a Marauder Warlord in Fort Homestead's Hall of Heroes, who usually drops several Daedric equipment pieces. Looking for a particular part of the Daedric Armor set, such as a Daedric Helmet? Save your game at Fort Homestead's entrance and defeat the Marauder Warlord. If they don't drop the helmet, reload your save and try again.

Daedric Armor console commands

You can skip all of the faff listed above and rely on console commands to get Daedric Armor ahead of time. Keep in mind that using console commands disables achievements.

To activate the console interface, hit the tilde (~) key, which is located near TAB and 1 on most standard QWERTY keyboard layouts. Then input the following commands for whichever armor piece you want:

Daedric Boots
