Saturday Supplement: Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life
Rory is a monster
This isn't about videogames, but consider it an extension of our shortlived Saturday Supplement.
Gilmore Girls was a television show about three generations of women: Emily Gilmore, who is wealthy, stubborn, and concerned with maintaining social propriety; her daughter Lorelai, who is rebellious and whose teenage pregnancy and subsequent running away are the dramatic linchpin at the base of the show; and Lorelai's daughter Rory, who by the start of the show is 15-years-old but who is fundamentally forever a spiderbaby determined to consume her mother for sustenance.
It ran from 2000-2007 and was brilliant from 2000-2005 and it was revived late last year for four movie-length Netflix episodes. I will now write about that, but also really the original show and also about how Rory wants to crack open her mother's bones and suck the marrow out from inside of them because she believes this is her birth right.
