Stuff in Space is a wonderful website which shows a realtime 3D map of objects in orbit of Earth.

The author, James Yoder, did an email interview with Popular Science and apparently the project was inspired by Kerbal Space Program. I can see that. I've abandoned a lot of nonsense while trying to reach the Mun, some of which contains Kerbals and might need rescue operations at some point. In fact, it's got to the point where I don't like to boot up the game because I know they're up there, waiting.
