God, The Magicians is a mess. It's a TV show about, at least initially, a university for wizards. The main character is mopey and miserable, the plot moves erratically, and a lot of the time I don't have much clue what's going on because it's my current 'going to sleep' show. It is not in the tier of TV to which I give my full attention, but it is one of the best shows for sleepy times. Mainly because it's unrelentingly silly.
