Slip On A Steampunk Gravity Glove In Traverser

"I love the gravity glove. It's so bad" etc

Adult Swim Games have a pretty good eye for games, as indie publishing labels go - not as good as Devolver, but good enough that when they release a game I'll cast a trusting eye over it. Their latest is Gatling Goat Studios' Traverser [official site], a steampunky puzzle-platformer with a gravity gun-type tool. It sees a young lady joining a special peacekeeping force and uncovering the secrets of the sinister Raven Corporation, who control a city split in half. And it's out now.

Valerie Bennett (solid name for anything Victorian-y, Bennett) is roaming around the city of Brimstone, which is split into upper and lower class areas and controlled by that Raven lot. They've got a monopoly on fresh air, which seems pretty important for a steampunk city. Travelling between the upper and lower cities, Valerie is off to chat to people, engage in a little roughhousing, uncover secrets, and solve puzzles. And what's the most useful tool for solving puzzles? A gravity gun.

Or a gravity glove, in this case. As well as your usual gravity puzzles, it's used to fight enemies.

A launch discount makes Traverser £8.79 on Steam until Thursday. Steam user reviews are looking pretty good so far.
