There are trampolines and bridges and grappling hook-type interactions to help you get along. The limitations of cord length and the cuteness and the trailing yarn all remind me of Chibi Robo. Man, I loved Chibi Robo. He was the best.

I've been thinking about Yarny and the fact that he is made from one single piece of yarn. Here are the things I would be most worried about if I were him:

  • Shrinkage because of water
  • Snagging
  • Being bright red and thus attracting unwanted attention (am I yarn-shaming?)
  • Entirely unravelling
  • Existential dread
  • Scissors
  • Forgetting how to roll yourself up properly
  • Being eaten by a dog
  • Becoming gross stringy dog poop
  • Fire
  • The question "If I am entirely made from one bit of red yarn why do I have white eyes?"
  • Encountering a problem which cannot be solved by yarn
  • Knitting needles
  • Crochet
