Why don't more platformers have photo modes?

Picture perfect

I can't say I'm overly enamoured with Magic Design Studio's Unruly Heroes, at least in terms of how it feels to play. For all MDS' former Ubisoft Montpellier talent and Rayman Legends know-how, this Journey To The West-inspired kung-fu platformer is a surprisingly leaden and plodding affair, that's utterly lacking in all the wondrous spontaneity of Rayman's more recent antics.

However, I am very much in love with Unruly Heroes' photo mode. It's a fairly recent addition to the game, and is perhaps a little rudimentary compared with other game photo modes I've used in the past. But as I was tinkering about with it for the purposes of this post, the thought struck me: "Good gravy, why don't more platformers have this sort of thing included as standard?"
