Your feedback on the supporter system

Last week I asked you for feedback on the supporter system, since we're beginning the process of revamping the system for the first time since it launched. The questions were: what do you want to see changed, what do you want to see fixed, and what do we do currently that you want to see jettisoned into the sun? Lots of you took the time to write feedback, which I really appreciate. We got around 60 comments, and I've picked out the most common points of feedback and replied to them inline below.
