Last week, I wrote about my experiences at E3 this year. To cut a longish story short, it was a difficult place to get anything done, partly due to the larger crowds following ticket sales to a general audience. A couple of weeks later, I was in Barcelona for Gamelab, where there were no lines to stand in, no cross-downtown journeys to attend press conferences, and where Fumito Ueda and Richard Garriott were making casual conversation in a hotel lobby.

It's a much smaller show, and is geared toward members of the industry rather than consumers, but it represented so much that I enjoy about the world of games.
