I want to believe the GPU gods are finally throwing us a bone. MSI RTX 5070 Ti 16G Shadow 3X OC is actually available on Amazon UK right now for £729. That’s not a typo. It’s in stock, sold and shipped by Amazon, and somehow not priced into orbit. When scalpers are still charging north of £1000 for this card, seeing a legit listing for retail price feels like someone left the vault door open and forgot to sound the alarm.

In my opinion, this is the GPU to aim for if you're gaming at 1440p or even poking at 4K. It's built on Nvidia's latest Blackwell architecture, comes loaded with 16GB of GDDR6X, and puts RTX 4070 SUPER in an awkward spot for just £74 more. Speaking of which, MSI's RTX 4070 Super Gaming X Slim is currently going for £654.99, down from £700.99 with a 7% discount. Solid value, sure, but with less VRAM, a narrower memory bus, and older ray tracing cores, I think the 5070 Ti is simply the smarter buy if you want some proper future-proofing.

You’re getting more bandwidth, more VRAM, and a chunkier performance margin for less than a hundred quid extra. I think it’s a no-brainer unless you already own the 4070 SUPER, in which case, carry on and pretend you didn’t read this.

What We Think About RTX 5070 Ti

We’ve spent time testing the RTX 5070 Ti in real-world scenarios, and it performs exactly how you'd hope for a mid-to-high-tier GPU in 2025. At 1440p, it crushes almost everything you throw at it while staying cool and quiet. It’s noticeably faster than the 4070 SUPER, especially in games that lean heavily on VRAM and bandwidth like Cyberpunk 2077 or Alan Wake 2. Ray tracing performance has improved, and DLSS 3.5 adds a nice boost where supported.

In my opinion, it’s the best balance of power and price in the 5000 series so far. It avoids the overheating and power draw issues of the 5090 and doesn’t feel as compromised as the upcoming 5060 looks on paper. The SHADOW 3X OC model from MSI also helps with thermal headroom thanks to its chunky triple-fan cooler.

Should You Buy a Prebuilt Instead?

If you’ve tried to get one of these cards over the last month, you already know how rare they are. Most 5070 Ti listings vanish in minutes or get flipped on auction sites for £1000+, which is genuinely outrageous. That’s why I think prebuilt PCs like these CyberPower deals are starting to look like the smart option, especially when they’re actually good.

I’d personally jump on the Amazon deal if I had a rig ready to go. If not, one of those CyberPower builds is looking mighty tempting right now.
