Here's how to get rid of your pesky Wanted status in AC Shadows
How do you clear your Wanted status in Assassin's Creed Shadows? It's not quite as elaborate as GTA's five-star wanted system, but you can still find yourself at the wrath of alerted hostile soldiers in AC Shadows. You will only get this status if you are caught by enemies while infiltrating a castle and if the bell is rung. Worse, this alert status doesn't just pit everyone in the castle after you, but everyone throughout the rest of that province. You'll also have to contend with tougher guardian enemies on the patrol.
Obviously, you want to either stay stealthily out of sight or make sure you sabotage any bells to prevent an alert from triggering. But when all else fails, this quick guide will explain how you can clear the Wanted status to make life a little easier in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
Assassin's Creed Shadows: How to clear your Wanted status
You can clear your Wanted status via the following methods:
- You can wait for the season to change, or focus on missions in another region until enough time has passed to activate the Change Season menu option. See our guide for more information on changing seasons in AC Shadows.
- You can send one of your scouts to reset the alert. You will however need to have upgraded your Kakurega in the Hideout to Rank 2 in order to unlock this function. If you are out of scouts, remember that you can also go to a Kakurega safehouse and spend money to refill scouts.
- Switch characters. You'll notice that on the world map, the Wanted status displayed for that province will specify the character who is Wanted. For example, if Naoe triggered the alert, you can switch to Yasuke when you're out of combat or enemy territory and he will be unaffected. You can then play as your other character until you can change seasons and reset the alert. Just try and avoid having them also trigger an alert.
