Best Charge Blade in Monster Hunter Wilds
These are the best endgame Charge Blades in Wilds right now
What is the best Charge Blade in Monster Hunter Wilds? The Charge Blade in Monster Hunter Wilds is a complex amalgam of sword and axe, much like the Switch Axe. But there is, if possible, even more going on with the Charge Blade, which has a reputation for being one of the most challenging weapon types to learn. It doesn't help that the Charge Blade weapon tree is massive, with 69 unique Charge Blades to work your way through - each one with unique strengths and drawbacks.
Hopefully by the end of this guide, you'll be feeling a little less overwhelmed. Below, we'll walk you through the very best Charge Blades in Monster Hunter Wilds, each of which you'll find at the very end of the upgrade branches in the tree, so you can start working your way towards them early on. By the time you reach them, you'll likely have mastered the Charge Blade as well!
Regas Hyper

"Better metals allow this advanced Hyperguard to dish out extra hurt without sacrificing any handling."

The Regas Hyper is simple and very straightforward to craft for an endgame weapon. It's got surprisingly great raw damage, which works particularly well alongside the Impact Phial for stunning, exhausting, and generally just messing up a monster's day. It has a very respectable amount of white sharpness to spare, and its Lv3 Rapid Morph skill makes utilising the Charge Blade's full capabilities much more fluid and painless. It's not the best in any category, but as a jack-of-all-trades with no downsides, it's hard to beat, and worthy of a spot in our best Charge Blades list.
How to get Regas Hyper:
The Regas Hyper Charge Blade is the final form of the Ore tree. Here are the prerequisite crafting requirements:
- Hope Strongarm I: 200z
- Hope Strongarm II: 2x Iron Ore, 500z
- Hyperguard I: 1x Machalite Ore, 2x Earth Crystal, 800z
- Hyperguard II: 1x Lightcrystal, 2x Icium, 2600z
- Hyperguard III: 4x Fucium Ore, 3x Gracium, 3x Monster Keenbone, 10000z
- Regas Hyper: 5x Hunter Symbol I, 1x Novacrystal, 1x Wyvern Gem, 20000z
Valeroje-Of-The-Waves

"An upgraded Uth Valeroje with an alluring gleam. It slams into foes like a flood, purging ill intent."

Valeroje-Of-The-Waves, a Charge Blade made from the parts of the massive Apex predator Uth Duna, enjoys the highest raw damage of its class (864, versus the Regas Hyper's 792). Moreover, it enjoys this on top of a very strong amount of Water Element damage, along with an Element Phial to boost those attacks even further. It's a magnificent weapon that can absolutely tear apart fire-based monsters like Gravios and Yian Kut-Ku. The only downside is its -15% affinity, which you'll need to work on offsetting as much as possible with Gems and other Skills.
How to get Valeroje-Of-The-Waves:
The Valeroje-Of-The-Waves Charge Blade is the final form of the Uth Duna tree. Here are the prerequisite crafting requirements:
- Bone Strongarm I: 2x Mystery Bone, 500z
- Bone Strongarm II: 2x Sturdy Bone, 1x Monster Fluid, 800z
- Uth Valeroje I: 1x Uth Duna Certificate, 2x Uth Duna Claw, 1x Uth Duna Cilia, 2000z
- Uth Valeroje II: 1x Balahara Certificate S, 3x Torrent Sac, 1x Dragonbone Relic, 4000z
- Uth Valeroje III: 3x Uth Duna Certificate S, 5x Uth Duna Claw+, 3x Uth Duna Cilia+, 1x Uth Duna Plate, 14000z
- Valeroje-Of-The-Waves: 5x Hunter Symbol III, 6x Uth Duna Tentacle+, 6x Uth Duna Hide+, 1x Uth Duna Watergem, 20000z
Venom's Kiss

"An upgraded Poison Blade that drips with deadly toxin and plunges prey into a slow, tormenting nightmare."

Our final Charge Blade pick for endgame dominance is the Venom's Kiss, built from Gypceros parts. There are three separate paths in the Charge Blade tree that offer poison damage, but the Venom's Kiss beats them all for sheer damage. Its skills, Lv3 Punishing Draw and Lv2 Critical Draw, are also very powerful if you make frequent use of them with your draw attacks. The only downside is you'll have to make do with blue sharpness instead of white. If you want a white sharpness alternative that still deals poison damage, you should opt for the Dear Lutemia instead, but it really can't match the damage of Venom's Kiss.
How to get Venom's Kiss:
The Venom's Kiss Charge Blade is the final form of the Gypceros tree. Here are the prerequisite crafting requirements:
- Poison Blade I: 1x Gypceros Certificate S, 3x Gypceros Wing, 2x Gypceros Head, 5x Rubbery Hide+, 4000z
- Poison Blade II: 2x Gravios Certificate S, 4x Gypceros Tail, 4x Toxin Sac, 10000z
- Venom's Kiss: 5x Hunter Symbol I, 6x Rubbery Hide+, 1x Bird Wyvern Gem, 1x Novacrystal, 20000z
