Best Hunting Horn in Monster Hunter Wilds
These are the best endgame Hunting Horns in Wilds right now
What is the best Hunting Horn in Monster Hunter Wilds? The Hunting Horn is as complex as it is alluring - a big bonking hammer which plays musical notes with every strike, allowing you to cast group-wide buffs in song form while you fight. The Hunting Horn weapon tree is one of the most complicated in Monster Hunter Wilds, as you have to take into account not only the weapon damage, sharpness, and so on; but also note colours, Echo Bubble types, and more. It's a lot.
But if you're struggling to pick an endgame Hunting Horn to work your way towards, then fear not. Below we've laid out our list of the three best Hunting Horns in Monster Hunter Wilds right now, taking into account everything from song lists to gem slots - and, of course, damage stats.
Rathalos Feroce

"The Flame Feroce's enhanced form - a polished instrument that heralds the victory of a future king."

The Rathalos Feroce is a strong contender for the best Hunting Horn, because in my opinion it gives you the best selection of songs. Between the Offset Melody, strong Attack and Defence buffs, Stamina Use Reduced, and Wind Pressure Negated, you've got a brilliant album of songs to use at any moment. Aside from this, the Rathalos Feroce has great stats and sharpness, a very respectable 400 Fire Attack, and - though it's not a priority - a very welcome +10% affinity. A truly brilliant choice for any Hunting Horn player.
How to get Rathalos Feroce:
The Rathalos Feroce Hunting Horn is the final form of the Rathalos tree. Here are the prerequisite crafting requirements:
- Valkyrie Chordmaker I: 1x Rathian Certificate S, 3x Rathian Webbing, 2x Rathian Spike+, 5x Rathian Scale+, 5000z
- Flame Feroce I: 2x Rathalos Certificate S, 5x Rathalos Carapace, 4x Rathalos Wing, 1x Rath Medulla, 10000z
- Rathalos Feroce: 5x Hunter Symbol II, 6x Rathalos Scale+, 1x Rathalos Tail, 1x Rathalos Ruby, 20000z
Gramklang

"The Kummerklang's enhanced form. Its strains rid the world of hope and despair alike, leaving nothing."

The Gramklang, made from Gore Magala parts, is a Dragon Element Hunting Horn with a massive 20% affinity and a good amount of white sharpness, both of which eclipse the Rathalos Feroce. It's my favourite Dragon-based Horn thanks to the good stats and the Lv3 Critical Element Skill; but the real power is its song list, which includes Earplugs, Affinity Up, and the powerful healing song, Melody Of Life in place of an Offset Melody.
How to get Gramklang:
The Gramklang Hunting Horn is the final form of the Gore Magala tree. Here are the prerequisite crafting requirements:
- Valkyrie Chordmaker I: 1x Rathian Certificate S, 3x Rathian Webbing, 2x Rathian Spike+, 5x Rathian Scale+, 5000z
- Flame Feroce I: 2x Rathalos Certificate S, 5x Rathalos Carapace, 4x Rathalos Wing, 1x Rath Medulla, 10000z
- Kummerklang I: 3x Gore Magala Certificate S, 4x Gore Magala Ripclaw+, 1x Gore Magala Tail, 5x Frenzy Shard, 14000z
- Gramklang: 5x Hunter Symbol Ill, 2x Gore Magala Feeler+, 1x Gore Magala Nyctgem, 5x Frenzy Crystal, 20000z
War Conga

"An upgraded War Bongo. Without missing a beat, it can end the beating of foes' hearts."

The War Conga is our third pick for the best Hunting Horns in Monster Hunter Wilds. It edges out the other two with its gem slots, two of which are for Lv3 Gems. It lacks any element, which as usual means its raw damage is very high, at 882 (more than either of the above Horns). Its songs offer the user some very strong health recovery and support buffs, and Lv2 Horn Maestro allows the buffs to last longer - a great addition for any support player in an endgame hunting party.
How to get War Conga:
The War Conga Hunting Horn is the final form of the Congalala tree. Here are the prerequisite crafting requirements:
- War Bongo II: 1x Congalala Certificate S, 5x Congalala Claw+, 4x Congalala Fang+, 2x Conga Pelt+, 4000z
- War Conga: 5x Hunter Symbol I, 2x Vibrant Pelt+, 1x Beast Gem, 20000z
